Travel makes up for summer blues The 1985 summer may be just another summer to remember as fun in the sun. For some, it was the worst, or even the best they've ever had. Summer jobs were a must for most, but the hefty paycheck proved that all that work was worth it. Dancing was one of the most popular weekend activities. Crowded dancing sights included After the Gold Rush in Mesa and Devil House near ASU. Prices ranged from four to five dol- lars. One of the closest and favorite vacation spots was San Diego, California, where trying to look and act like a local was your main objective. Don't worry, they know us zonies las the real locals call usj, a mile away. For those who couldn't make it to the real thing, there was ---- Fun in the Sun the ever popular Big Surf, the closest thing to the beaches of California. Traveling across the Atlantic is always an excit- ing vacation. Europe seemed to be a more popu- lar spot than usual this summer. Four Corona students were sent to Europe through the Sister City Organization, most expenses paid. The students that were chosen from Corona were Adrianne Scofield and Iean Mah, who both went to Skopje, Yugoslavia, Su Bungaard who traveled to Lower Hutt, New Zealand, and Ser- ena Arlotta, who went to Regensburg, Ger- many.
