J. V.. Freshman football feams seek unbeafen seasons: go 7-I The J.V. and freshman football teams ended their season with 7-1 records. They both went undefeated in division competition. Two J.V. runningbacks, Mike Taylor and Dan Furlone, combined for almost 2,000 yards rushing this season. According to coach Mike Wehrli, quar- terback AI Martinez was one of the best he's seen as a high school coach. All of the credit for the 2,000 yards rushing and Martinez's passing does not go to the individuals. Part of it goes to the offensive line who opened the holes for the runningbacks and gave protection for the quarterback. This year the J.V. Team went 7-0 against AA teams. Their only loss came against Mesa High, a AAA school. Cl..
