Varsify foofball beafs Gilberf for play-off spof The varsity football team ended its reg- ular season with a 6-O win over the Gil- bert Tigers. The win shot the Aztecs into the playoffs for the first time in the four year history of Corona. The team compiled a 9-1 record, while going 4-1 in league competition. The only loss came at the hands of the Gerard Redcoats 13-7. The rushing leaders on the team were Scott Shill, John Dousette and Glenn Dennard. Shill carried the ball 164 times for 1,137 yards. In the passing department, Mike Hold ? was the top quarterback completing 66 of 124, he passed for 1330 and 15 touch- downs. The top receivers were Glenn Den nard, Guy Logan, and Ruben Gomez. Dennard caught 22 passes for 547 yards. Logan caught 23 passes for 452 yards, and t Gomez caught 14 passes for 321 yards. E The defensive leaders were Tony Peters, Doug Rotella, and Tim Rutt. O...
