Baskefball, chess fake sfafe fifles in March Winning the state championship has almost become a habit. Corona's second state title was earned this year when the foot- ball team beat Gerard. The third and fourth state titles came from the girls' basketball team and the chess team. Corona's fifth state title was won when the boys' basketball team defeated Nogales. The chess team earned Corona's first AAA state title. The girls' basketball team defeated Marana 63-45 to win the state title, after losing twice to them previously inthe season.
