ACTIVITIES Activities at Corona reflected the imagination of students and faculty. They helped to build school spirit. The first homecoming was cel- ebrated with royalty and a dance. Activities during the week brought enthusiasm to the event. Pep rallies involved students, with skits, class competition and music. F urlone, Wildman win pi frough'confesf FarreIl's Ice Cream Parlour sponsored a pig trough eating contest in October. A pep rally was held in which Farrell's sup- plied the pig troughs for anyone who wanted to participate in the contest. The competition was held in four intervals beginning with the freshman class. Carmine Nesti won the first interval. Winning with the fastest time of 29 seconds was Dan Furlone from the sophomore class. Bobby Rosales won the junior class competi- tion and placing first in the senior class was Ron Wildman. The four finalists then advanced to another round of the con- test at Farrell's. Any studentwishing to purchase ice cream that night received a IOM discount. Winning the overall contest was Senior Ron Wildman. O...
