An art student for six years, Ken is the first student at Corona ever to be involved in an advanced placement program, in which he compiles a portfolio of his drawings. At the end of the year a college level board of art instructors reviews the drawings. Depending on the quality of the work, Ken can earn up to six hours of college credit. The worst that can happen is that l get a good critique of my work, Ken said of the program. One painting done by Ken in his junior year which won an award at a Tempe art show hangs in Principal Eldon lvlailes' office. Ken became the new newspaper artist this year, and he is active in Corona's choral groups. After high school Ken plans to go on to college with a major in liberal arts, then on to art school with a final goal of becoming a studio artist. Q.- Frank Valenzuela 142 SENIORS :ffl 'Su W ir!
