Corona has changed much since then but many of this year s seniors still recall that first year. Susan l-larnage: School was postponed for a week because the air conditioning wasnt working We ended up going to school on a Saturday When it rained the parking lot would turn to mud and all the cars would get stuck Debbie Adams There was no competition between classes because there were just freshmen and sophomores Now there is a lot of competition. Jon Brightbill: Freshman year the school was empty . . . it seemed like a junior high. People didn't know what or where Corona del Sol was. Senior Ted Davault was approached dur- ing his freshman year and asked what school he attended. When he replied Corona del Sol ' he was asked 'Whats that a special ed school? Brian Murphy its been a lot of work because we didn t have any traditions to go off of Many times I thought of transferring to Marcos because of the many things l wasnt able to do here But l am glad l stuck it out because I am proud to be one of the first Aztecs C4 'ARK SENIORS 131
