ne. . .Two . .Three strikes you're out! T CdM's Varsity baseball team fell short this year in continuing its winning tradition. Coached by Tom Trager or the 15th year, the team had many tough games and near the end of the season a 6-8 record told the whole storyi. Returning from last year's team, Dave Ariss, Mi e Hess, Gordon Moss, lim Murphy and Greg Wynn helped CdM slaughter San Clemente 10-4 in their pre-season opener. The strength of the 1983 team was in its defense. Most of the returning players held infield positions, although the strength of the pitching staff was still unknown. The responsibilities of that position was divided between Greg Wtynn, the ony returning pitcher, lon Acone, lef Nathanson, an john Burns.
