Dance the night away Orchesis was off to a brand new start this year with a new advisor, Carol Stockmeyer, and 20 dancers only 3 of which had been in Orchesis before. In spite of their inexperience, these 20 girls went on to create unique dances and perfect their techniques. They danced to a wide variety of music from classical concert arrangements to the latest hits. All of the dances were choreographed by girls in Orchesis. Orchesis performed in the PTA Home Tour, participated in the Annual Choreographers Winter Concert in which Jeanne Grantham won an Outstanding Performance Award, presented their spring production with the theme of emotions, and appeared at several other events. 136 orchesis 1 Front row: Missy Yank, jennifer Hughes, Lisa Horowitz, Megan Griswold, Annette Askari, Kim McGuinnes, Michelle Abajian, Leslie Ramsey. 138 chess Chess players make the move' While most of the student body ate lunch in the quad, the Chess Club planned the strategies for its next moves. The Chess Club had a very intense year.
