rchestra tunes in The 1982-83 Orchestra always gave a high string performance. There were 21 musicians, and they practiced faithfully everyday in first period. The group consisted of string, brass, woodwind and percussion sections. The director, Harry Corea, strived to achieve a superior mark at the annual Festival Competition. During first semester, Right flank could be heard almost any day after school on the field where CdM's Marching Band practiced. This year's marching band, led by Laura Mann and Ken lsraels, had to deal with a small group of 28 students. The decreasing number of incoming members is due mainly to the closure of Lincoln's music program. However, the band marched on providing CdM with music to cheer to at rallies and games. At the Harbor game the band showed its spirit by wearing hats, sunglasses, and some people even wore ties - a change from their traditional uniforms.
