The job of a council member is to help with homecoming floats, class parties, fundraisers and various other class activities. Class council members helped to promote class and school spirit and unity. They acted as the link between the class officers and the students. From summer pizza parties to collecting ASB card discounts, the enthusiasm ran high in the leadership class of 82-83. Throughout the year ASB worked on fundraisers such as the jog-a- thon, the chili cook-off and the phone-a-thon. The fundraisers were all a tremendous success, raising money for various club and activity budgets. Activities were constantly being planned such as band display week, the dating game, Gallos sandwich sale and even a ping-pong tournament to encourage student participation. Although the leadership class was derived from various groups around campus, members worked well together as a team and made a successful year.
