LET TOBY DO lT 9 'tiff Yi 'wi' t 2 if , The big night came on Thursday, November 20, and seven proud Seniors paraded on to the stage of Pike Memorial Hall to give their presentation of the four-act comedy, Let Toby Do It. The stars of the show, in the order of their appearance werl Talow? - Larry Welch as Toby Perkins, a boy of all work. Russell Jack as Uncle Josh Simpson, everybody's friend. Carlene Day as Mary Sanders, Uncle Josh's ward. Geneva Day as Roxy, a great help--in love with Toby. Linwood Perkins as Henry Simpson, Uncle Josh' son. Robert Watkins as Frank Kalton, from the city. Barbara Stone as Lizzie Evans, somewhat crooked. The entire action ofthe play centered around the living room at the rear of Uncle Josh's store. The plot wove all the characters into a robbery which presented a problem to everyone until Toby came to the rescue, retrieved the stolen money, and named the culprit. The final curtain came down on two happy couples--Roxy with her Toby, and Henry with his childhood sweetheart, Mary. The two accomplices in the crime, Frank and Lizzie niet Justice and Uncle Josh is happy again, knowing that all his problems have been solved. Although nervousness was inside all seven Seniors, we had but one thought in mind--The show must go on. And that it did. Due to the keen directing of Mrs, Ulix?'J5lin3'f Eurqlinglish teacher, the skillful work of Mrs, lrva Copp, who so generously gave her time to be our make-up artist, and the assistance of Roger Sawyer, our ever-willing stage attendant, our play was a great success.
