The two- fold purpose of this club is to raise money to purchase new instruments and to keep the public aware of the progress of the band. One of its main purposes, other than the preceding one, is to maintain an attitude of good sportsmanship, This year the Pep Club members who were elected last year increased the membership by two students from each class. The club has had charge of all pep assemblies and also has sponsored a dance held December 2, 1949. F' C Cm The C Club is an organization that has been idle forthe past two years until Coach Chuck Uknes and Maury Geist decided to start it up again. lt gives the letter winners and athletes of Corning High a chance to know each other outside of their participation in sports. The C Club was reorganized by the letter winners of the school Ed Mullin was elected president of the club: Drexel Lundquist, vice-presidentg Ed Lawrence, secretaryg and Ronald Bycroft, business manager. The pro- ject for this year was to purchase twenty-two new rubber, plastic hel- mets and present them to the athletic department as a gift.
