She was graduated from the Corning High School in 1910 and from Western Reserve University in 1914 with the degree of Bachelor of Arts. The same school conferred the same degrees upon her two daughters later, Harriet in 1942 and Florence in 1946. Her son Leon left the family Alma Mater for the University of Chicago from which he received both his Arts and Law degrees. When tragedy stalked into her family circle taking two of her loved ones, her husband and her older daughter in less than one year, Mrs. Levion sought solace in the education of others. She established an annual scholar- ship at Ohio University for any graduate of the Corning High School. There are no restrictions to the Harriet Levion Pullman Scholarship except need, moral character, and high scholastic standing. Besides the Ohio University scholarship she also established an annual award at Mather College, Western Reserve University. The Harriet Levion Pullman Memorial Award will be given to the Sophomore with the highest scholastic standing. Both the scholarship and the award are perpetual. Mrs. Levion keeps herself buy with her business and many civic activities. Besides being vice-president of the Corning School Board and president of the local sponsors of the Salvation Army she also serves on a county level. She is president of the Tuberculosis and Health Association, second vice-president of the County Library Board, secretary of the County Board of Visitors, and a director of the American Red Cross.
