xmw N 1 A Student Counc1l The Student Counc1l IS the students volce IU the afTa1rs of C F A Through xt, the students express their vlews and carry out their school programs This organlzatlon IS the tangible evidence that C F A 13 democratlc Representatlves are chosen from each class, and each club sends lts own representatlve to the meetmgs Every year ln the fall the candxdates for the offices present the1r platforms to the student body ln an assembly Th1s year the vxctorxous candldates were Peter Plcarazzl, presldent, Robert Rxpley vlce presldent and Eva Patrlck, secretary treasurer Slnce the annual membershlp dr1ve was very successful the Councll began the year w1th QSC? of the students enrolled Meetlngs of the orgamzatlon are held twlce a month on the second and fourth Wednesdays Speclal meetmgs are called when the need arlses Mr Mlller and Mxss Wolcott advxse the members In Communlty Serv1ce the Counc1l played an 1mportant part It was voted that the school should support the Commumtx Chest and War Fund Drxves The results from both campalgns were very gratlfwlng as C F A went over the top of 1ts quotas In the bOL1.ll llfe of the students the Councll 15 verx attlwc The soclal hours were fun for all Thls year square danclng was agam popular The Counc1l sponsored a square dance 1n the gym and every one came to grand r1ght and left wnth h1s partner Money was appropr1ated for a case to enclose a collectlon of glass whlch was generouslw donated bs Mr Carder, and a fund was glven for an honor roll to be placed here IH our Alma Mater Page Tbzrrr 1.
