Those shy classes of '45 and '44, the members of the junior High, have commenced to climb that long ladder toward a more complete education. Did I say shy? Was that a mistake or intentional? Well, on their first step of the long ladder they did seem rather bashful, but now, like upper classmen, they are discovering that bashfulness -disappears with time and experience. Did you notice the way they went after their Christmas party? Not only that, but they had it! This was a gay holiday and well celebrated by these industrious new-comers. Let us hope their additional steps on the ladder prove as successful and enjoyable as their introductory years have led us to anticipate. This time we stop to consider and admire that unusually large freshman class. From their great numbers they singled outllohn Marlcert, .lohn Mcliall, Howard Curtis, and Marilyn Timm to he their class oilicers. Under these capable and ellicient leaders, they were introduced into the social life as well as the scholastic activities of the school. This social life had a notahle opening at the annual Halloween party given for their class by their immediate superiors, the sophomores. This party proved to he a success that will he diflicult to equal next year when they are ohliged to he hosts. We feel certain that several outstanding leaders will emerge from this class and we Wish them much future success.
