ls the top of that endless ladder any place in sight? lt certainly does not seem to be to some of those ambitious sophomores who are forever looking forward to those glorious days when they will rule the school as we seniors are doing at present. Through the untiring ellorts ofthe class ollicers, Francis Schenck, Wilfred McMahon, Paul Krebs, and lldwartl lllig, the sophomore class became acquainted with their neighbors, the freshmen, at a delightful dance in October. They played the role of hosts with great linesse and were rewarded with the highest of praise by all who attended. This class, hovvever, is remarkable not socially alone, btlt in the realm of scholastic activities as well. Many of their names appear on every honor roll that is published and several of them have laid the foundation for distinguished records. These sophomores set an example of splendid cooperation and, undoubtedly, by continuing this spirit of endeavor, they will achieve some outstanding results. tml mi .t I tltvi, Xttstlutf, loltnav, Kintg, lit-nm, l olt-son, Rothct, rltnis, llollnuan, littltlta, Sullivan, Down, Woe-pple: nur g Haull, I owley, il it Nl n utlt for ktllv Hin Xn ht Nitin lin Xl. t-'t ,, '. t is , . , ' , .. , st 4, K , , 4 tnette, llelbt-tt, ltminetnuan, l3.utnsl.ttlt, Ilotlige, nm' 1 Qn.ttglt.xn.1, Sonnet, lJ'Htt,1n, Nlti.-it-, Xtlvoonovt-v, liiuntl, llunntan, lt-ttill, 'l'tt-wel, l..tntg.an, 4 li.u.tIt ltak, Kaptal, Iloiltnan, mu' 4' Lewis, Kennett,l'lull1ps, llubhttrtl, jones, Nan Xlsitn, Nlueinootl, liosiun L, lox, l .uit-i, Young, llatt, I .npt'ntet, Telian, mit 1. lit-y,ll.tnt.xl1.m, Ryan, l'-laptal, Kirttlin, l3ettone,lI.tbbom, i-.. .tt.i,,., tiwtit, owl., itt-trim... ittttvt, inn, :lata-, . mt t c,...tt.lt, saucy. This time we stop to consider and admire that unusually large freshman class. From their great numbers they singled outllohn Marlcert, .lohn Mcliall, Howard Curtis, and Marilyn Timm to he their class oilicers. Under these capable and ellicient leaders, they were introduced into the social life as well as the scholastic activities of the school. This social life had a notahle opening at the annual Halloween party given for their class by their immediate superiors, the sophomores. This party proved to he a success that will he diflicult to equal next year when they are ohliged to he hosts. We feel certain that several outstanding leaders will emerge from this class and we Wish them much future success.
