The Team enjoyed themselves and the sights of New York m Florida Spring Evangelism Team 112 U3 Baptist Choral Society Mr. Stewart started the Baptist Choral Society seven years ago as an extension ministry of the college. Its purpose then, as now, was threefold: to offer non-college musicians the opportunity to continue their musical experience; to provide ex- posure to college musicians; and to “evangelize’' the non-Christian who enjoys classical choral music. The 100-member ensemble, assisted each year by a small orchestra comprised ol professional and college instrumentalists, accomplishes these goals year after year. Since its only concert falls during Advent, Mr. Stewart always selects works which exalt the person of Jesus Christ, such as Buxtehude s The Infant Saviour, or Vivaldi's ‘Magnificat, which was a focal point of this year’s concert. 114 Student Council John !Maguire contemplates over ideas at a student council meeting.
