The setting was in 16th century England under the rule of Henry the Eighth. The play told the story of Sir Thomas More, a man who stood up for what he believed was right, and would not allow himself to be swayed, even though speaking his mind was a dangerous thing to do. He paid for his stand with his life. The conference consisted of daily morning, afternoon, evening, and special clinic sessions. The day began at 9:15 and broke for lunch at 12:15. At 1:15 the afternoon ses- sions began and ran until 3:30. From 3:30 to dinner at 5:00 were the special seminars and clinics, or just some free time to relax or brouse around. The day ended with the evening session at 7:30 with the big- gest turnout ot the day. There were many men of God from around the coun- try who spoke at the conference; some were old faces and some were new. Namely: Dr. Warren Faber, Dr. N. A. Wiens, Leon Rowland, Dr. Paul Dixon, Dr. David Allen, Dr. Wendell Kempton, Dr. Kenoyer, and Dr. War- ren Wiersbe. The Seminary Auditorium was again used as an overflow seating area, with the messages brought there on closed circuit television. The musical portion was again under the direction of Strat Shufelt and Mrs. Ruth Woolpert. Several of the musical groups from the college provided special music throughout the week. The largest turnouts were on Monday and Friday nights. Dr. Warren Wiersbe presented the cli- mactic message that brought the 20th Annual Bible Conference to a close. 38 Bible Conference • ■ Bible Conference 39 40 Autograph Party You Can't Take it With You 41 4 .J 0 o mntBo cem | n • Mi alt ■ - ' m -----------—------------- mm • .. ,V . , :■: . ✓ X X- fiS ;• • ? % ft $ , 4 v x 1C % f J .f. ■■ -. ■• - awB ft p A y « . 9 £ $ ft ‘A Af •V v. Over 10,000 tracts were dis- tributed during the year and a number of people were saved and discipled. We praise the Lord for the victory He brought to our small efforts this year! 58 Tracting I I Each summer many GRBC students become short term missionaries. The MAP is a vital part of the lives of the participants because it gives them first-hand missionary experience, and a taste of what blessings and happiness it brings to the lives of the participants.
