And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another. Gal. 5:22-26. We, the members of the Freshman Class, with God's help: 1. Shall allow God to use our talents to their fullest, to always be ready to testify and witness for our Lord, and to keep a consistent devotional and prayer life. (Col. 4:2) 2. Shall allow God to work in our lives by giving Him complete control of our attitudes and our tongues. (Col. 4:6) 3. Shall expand and apply our knowledge to the glory of God - being willing to attend classes, obey campus rules, and budget our time wisely. (Eph. 5:15, 16) 4. Shall strive for unity and true Christian friendship on and off campus by encouraging, forgiving, and showing genuine concern and love for others - going the extra mile even when it may not be convenient or pertain to our own interests. Excluding worry on our part, we will allow God to work within us, trusting Him with our needs and believing in His Word. While living in a lost world, we will, in the example of Christ, aim for the denouncement of sin and denial of self, while carrying the good news of the Gospel to the unsaved. We will strive to continually grow in our devotional lives, remembering the necessity of feeding on God's Word, and the need for an effectual, fervent prayer life, to supplement our commitment to Christ. To put forth our best effort in all of our classes, to develop our intellects to the fullest potential, and to be able to apply our classroom learning to real-life situations. To use our time profitably, to make, sure that our physical appearance does not detract from our personal testimonies, to thank God for His leading and not complain about our God-given cir- cumstances and to become more consistent in our emotional and spiritual lives so that our personal testimonies will become mote stable. In our inter-personal relationships, we will strive for an understanding spirit and a forgiving, uncritical attitude, born out of love for those with whom we come in contact: to have a sincere concern for rhe needs of those around us, and to develop with them a spirit of unity. We will endeavor to realize and fulfill our responsibilities to our school, to the body of Christ and, most of all, to our God.
