Royalty Goes Medieval In King Arthur's Court The decorating committee, directed by Carol Conner, offered to our 1968 Royalty weekend a setting midst the Knights of the Round Table. The atmosphere stood magestic on the night of Coronation as Mr Miller exalted Queen Jan Church and her court. Our Knight of Knights proved gal- lant. accented by Denise Moffet. including Dr. Welch's requested encore. Chopin's Polynaise. Our banquet even- ing. catered by Mr Koetsier, held an atmosphere of musical moods, afforded by Stuart Nordyk. Betty Bouts was chairman for Reverse night activities. The evening was planned around the theme of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. Oecora lions were complete with candlelight, grapes and even King Arthur. Royalty was more than glitter and lights It meant hours of planning, decorating and cleaning up afterwards. Tim Oberman was in charge of the Royalty Banquet, topped oH by a real stuffed pig and decorations like a medieval hall. 25
