Dedication It is not ours to honor; it is but ours to recognize the honor God has bestowed on one who has yielded to His call. Saved dur- ing his high schoo1 days, led to the Simpson Bible School in Seattle, Washington, and then providentially guided to our own school from which he graduated with the first Seminary Class in June of 1949, Prof. Victor Matthews1 experience bears every indica- tion of Steps well ordered of the Lord.' Completing his A.B. wcrk at Calvin College in 1952, Prof. Matthews received his B.D. from B.T.S. I hat same year. Recognizing his natural teaching ability, our school board retained him as Evening School instructor from 1949 to 1951 while he pastored the Paris Baptist Church (1946-1950) and the First Baptist Church of Oakfield (1950-1951). In the fall of 1951, Prof. Matthews assumed his duties as fuil-time instructor in our Day School. As Dean of men, we have found in Mr. Matthews a sympathetic listener and a wise counselor. As instructor he shall always be remembered for his copious notes, extensive outlines, and his 'just one sentence mere. We give thanks for this man of God, and in appreciation for all he has done for us and for our school, we affectionately dedicate to Prof. Victor Matthews this 1955 edition of KUMI-ORI.
