)t is with joy and deep affection that we dedicale this 1952 issue of KUM! ORI to Dr. William H. Pardee, who has so faithfully served our school since its inception in 1941. At that time he was pastor of the Otsego Baptist Church, but gladly gave of his time to teach in the evening school. Then in the fall of 1944, Dr. Pardee became a full time professor and has been carrying a tremendous teaching load. Various classes have found in him a wise and sympathetic counsellor. Students marvel at his ability to give a satisfying answer to perplexing problems without having to study up on them. His ability to explain difficult doctrinal truths and to make them easy to learn has been most gratifying. His own deep spiritual life has made these truths more meaningful to us. Students will not soon forget his genial personality, his ready smile, his witty, rather dry humor, and his inevitable mention of delicious foods as the clock neared twelve.
