Decorators at work Clean-up detail , 1 QUEEN MARGE LANGEBERG KING DUANE JOHNSON The completed desert scene JUNIOR PROM, APRIL 17, 1954 FINDERS CREEPERS Senior Class play, May, 1955 Hercules Nelson's uncle and aunt had long wanted him to spend a week end with them -- they even went so far as to say he could bring his bosom pal, Wilbur Maxwell, with him. Hercules knows his uncle has taken a new job, but what he doesn't know is that Uncle is a mortician, The boys are all for heading home pronto when they discover this fact and especially when they find there's another guest in the house, an old boy named Jason Quigley who ran out of gas. His funera1's to be Monday. It's not long before things start happening in ways that would put most brave men to flight. For one thing, Mr. Quigley, the guest, walks around, reads the paper, and climbs in bed with Hercules. But Mr. Quigley isn't really deadg in his sleep someone tried to do away with him, so he evolved a plan: he'd make his family think he was dead, then show up at his own funeral and trap the guilty party. No doubt Mr. Quigley had a good plan, and things would have ended peacefully, but there were two things he failed to reckon with -- Wilbur and Hercules. They set out to solve the case and matters soon go from bad to worse to terrible. Hercules tips off his girlfriend, Nina, that her grandpop's aliveg she tips off the familyg and everything's messed up. The boys finally escape with their necks, but not before one of the wildest finishes ever with the doctor, whom no one suspected, the guilty partyg and the lawyer, whom everyone suspected, innocent as can be. Included in the cast were: Gene Miller, Calvin Crotty, Jerry Stordahl, Jack Williams, Donal Miller, Marian Burns, Marge Langeberg, Betty Langeberg, Nancy Gehrke, Doris Buchholz, Georgia Bruyette, and Shirley Kohls. 13
