The seniors who had led Cornell to the national wrestling cham- pionships in i947 said farewell by implementing a near-upset over Iowa State Teachers in the National AAU meet, following a successful season, marked by only one dual meet defeat. Lowell Lange won his sixth and seventh national titles at l36 pounds in the NAAU and NCAA meets, Dick Hauser was NAAU l28 pound champion, and the team won a Midwest conference championship in every weight. lO0 mamma The cross-country season, with only on dual loss ended with the team second in the conference and seventeenth in the NCAA run.
