OMBINING an air of casualness with a dignity of demeanor, the Cornell faculty and administration is the foundation of the Hilltop family. The informal atmosphere maintained in the classrooms allows' extensive expression of individual thought and action on the part of each class member. Always accessible, the professors and deans are ever-ready with their expert guidance and advice. From Dean Rdads chapel chats, through the hospitable faculty- at-homes, to their own cheering squad and hilarious pep meeting, the usual barriers found on a college campus are given no opportunity to exist at Cornell. The President's Advisory Council functioned the first semester and was instrumental in the organization of the new Student Council which has gained the confidence of the students and the respect of the rest of the administration by assuming the leadership entrusted to it and by working carefully in the sphere of authority assigned to it. The unceasing efforts of the office staffs, head residents and the librarians all contribute to that fine rapport of organization which keeps the school running smoothly and effectively. The enthusiasm and understanding generated in every department, from Armstrong to South Hall cultivates and stimulates an air of alertness among the student body which intensifies the satisfaction derived from higher education.
