LET'S CELEBRATE! Let's celebrate, we've had so much between us. Oh, let's celebrate! Let's count the hours we shared and then be glad we had these times together, that we can smile about, dream about, laugh and sometimes cry about, let's celebrate! There's so much now that we can be so proud about. We've left our mark, and no one dare erase or take away tomorrow, when we can dream about, laugh and sometimes cry about. I.et's celebrate! Don't say goodbye. It makes no sense at all. Don't even try. You'll only confuse it all. The question of why, the story of how doesn't matter now. We're parting, I know, I'm frightened of how I feel. Time has run out, emotions are painfully real, that I can't conceal. But, yes, let's celebrate! I know it's sad, but dry your eyes and celebrate! To know each other was the perfect thing to make our time complete. So now we talk about, think about, and sometimes sing about, smile about, dream about, laugh and sometimes cry about, let's celebrate! Letis celebrate! Robert J. Gielas submitted to yearbook by Sam Ruiz, 9-301 DAYS ARE GOING FAST Days are going fast. I will graduate soon. It's hard to leave a place where you've been almost three years. So I have lots of confusing feelings about leaving this school. I feel glad because that means I am going to start a new chapter in my life. It also means I am going nearer to the future. I feel sad about leaving this school. I met lots of friends and teachers in this school. The main feeling I have is I am surrounded by the fog. I only see several roads in front of me. I can't see how the road looks and what is ahead. I know that I canft go back or stand there. But which one should I choose? I am afraid that I might choose the wrong direction. But still I have to take this dangerous chance. Thatis the way life is. YEARBOOK The school year 1984-1985 was one I will never forget. During my senior year at J .H.S. 56 many unforgettable things happened. There was Senior Day and all ninth graders received their senior buttons and banners and were signing it while rap music was being played and some students were break-dancing. The lights were dimmed and lots of pictures were taken. Some students were very shy, sitting up in the bleachers. Some people were very friendly and sociable. I must have turned at least 100 rings. Guillermo Feliciano 9-314 Chi Hung Leung GRADUATION Graduation is a special time. Just as well it's a time for happiness. Graduation should be the happiest time of your life because it only happens once. This time should be the time to be proud of what you achieved and to keep on going for your special goal. Don't cry and don't be sad because you'll always have friends and most of all youfll always have you. Monique Blaloch 9-432 GRADUATION DAY Your graduation should be the best day in your school years because on this day you can look back at all the good times that you've had with your teachers, friends, and deans and sit back and laugh. You can take those days and treasure them always in your heart. One of the bad things about graduating is leaving all your good buddies and friends behind, but then just think on the good side, you'll get to see them once in a while after school and you'll be making twice as many friends in your new school. l Lisa Solomon 9-405 .lg WE ARE THE FUTURE Leaving a school is a very sorrowful time, a time of grief but a time of happiness as well. We took it for granted that we knew each other so well, but now we realize that it's time to start over, make new friends, get used to a new environment, see new faces. Mashona Kai Neville 9-438 WE ARE THE FUTURE We are the future. We will be the ones thatlll keep this world together. We are the future, because we make the future. We will give in order to be given, and we will be in power in order to stay as the power. We are the world. We are the children! Gracie Velez 9-201 WE ARE THE FUTURE We Will be the ones To make a brighter day, And be leaders, Growing, Stronger, Smarter Day by Day Miriam Ramos 9-204 WE ARE THE FUTURE This year our graduation will be the greatest ever Let's make it last forever Let's work hard for our future Instead of hanging out Let's work out After graduation donft be a snob Get yourself a job Be somebody, anybody Because we owe it to our families Letfs try to make happiness and peace Get a job for keeps But let's make our future go far Because we are the future, the future we are Amanda Amador 9-405

MY WISH My wish is for a world of peace. This should be so easy to do as to say For our world holds so many treasures and so many threats. Those threats, for which a civilization that man has built can be destroyed. Whenever my wish is fullfilled it won't be too soon but now it is only a wish. Terry Villanueva 9-337 LET ME IN Problems show on your face though you act joyful Tears moving in your eyes though you are smiling Problems are never solved if you are hiding them So open yourself and let me in Perhaps I can help. Ana Chan 9-405 l Tsui Kam Lai 9-438 .20. THE MAN WITHOUT A FACE The man without a face Is a man who is lonely Who has no friends to share his time He will always be crying Though you can't see the tears I-Ie wants to belong to Somebody, something, anything Just to be needed and wanted The man without a face ls someone I do not want to be. Glennis Melendez 9-337 ROAD Don't tell me you are tired. Don't tell me you can't go on. Don't complain about the road. The end of the road is just in front of you So go for it. Ana Chan 9-405 IAM I am what I wish to be to me. I have reached my goals. I am content for now. But to other people I am a fraction of what I should be or either in the shadow of another person I should follow. I am what I wish to be. I want to be realized for what I have done not for the shadow I should stand in nor for what my ability holds. I am a person who cannot be put into a life. I must choose my life and those I wish to share it with. I am and will forever be what I am, me. Terry Villanueva 9-337
