LIFE Life is like a lovely flower, A clean and lovely thing. Fresh and clean from April showers Which happen every spring. Life is like a nice sweet song, The sweetest you can hear. Something like a bell's ding-dong, That rings both far and near. Life is happiness and joy, As when you find a pearl. Something like a handsome boy, Meeting a lovely girl. GRADUATION DAY Today weill start a new life And we'll say our last good-byes To all friends we've grown to love. With whom we laughed and cried Remembering the fun and laughter The problems and the fears. And watching all our memories grow Throughout our Junior High School years. The memories of the fun we had And the new friends that we've met Vacations, teachers, talking And exams we'd rather forget Yes, J.H.S. days are precious, but brief, Whereall your dreams come true It is not the end, but the beginning. Bernice Miranda 9-336 GRADUATION TIME Graduation time is a time to be proud Especially when they announce your name very loud. The success of being promoted from one grade to another. Is different because now they make a big bother. Everyone is filled with thrills and -sensations Of attending another of their own graduations. But when everyone has gone to celebrate this day. Memories will be carried for everyday. Kasandra Harley 7-440 THE GRADUATION REHEARSAL It's graduation rehearsal today, everyone is marching down the aisle today. The teachers will let us know tomorrow Who will graduate? I studied so hard, I past my tests and I think I saw one of my teachers smile. But ohhh. not knowing, just hoping, pretending not to really care, waiting Tomorrow I'll Know we'll all know who made it, who didnit It's so hard to wait maxa-EL N QBut one of the teachers smiled at me, I thinkl Glenda Morrero 9-336 8

GROWING Growing up is hard to do. The people around you won't let you grow. You think so much you got to get away Soon you find yourself all alone. No one there but your shadow. You try to turn to someone new. You know there's no one there so it's up to me to grow up.Even though growing up is hard to do. Annabel! Ortega 9-336 I WALK WITH PRIDE I was young and ignorant but functioning with feelings of desire. I felt I wanted that one boy in my heart. Yes, he was plump, cute, smart, no one had eyes for this boy, but me. . . l was a bit older and experienced with what love had to offer. I saw that special boy no longer plump, but tall, dark and handsome, staring. Knowing what I desire I was begging with my eyes. This boy had everything a girl wanted. Looks, friends, and girls. But this boy knew all about his qualities and he knew all about what I felt, but coulclnlt care less. I am older and wiser now. I see this guy standing across from me looking with desire. But nowl know what qualities I have. I am a proud young woman refusing to beg. I know for what I stand, for I am to be touched in sight not in body and soul. So now I just walk on by with my head up high because now I am walking with pride!!! Glenda Marrero 9-336 MY BEST FRIEND l My best friend, knows what I mean. I donit even have to say the words. She reads my face,my voice, and understands. She doesn't criticize or talk about me behind my back, and sheis always there when I need her. My best friend always makes me feel good, she helps me to laugh again, and see the best side of me. That's why shefs my best friend. Glenda Marrero 9-336 10
