The years after graduation will be the most important ones in our lives. If we have set our goals carefully and have worked hard to attain them, then many of our dreams can come true. In years to come, this book will bring back the mem- orable events of 1963-64 both in the classroom and in other school activities. The staff hopes to prevent those memo- ries from fading by presenting the 1964 Corinthian, It has been our goal this year to tllIl'1 out the best Corinthian yet. Recently the educational program has been expanded to bene- fit children of many ranges in intellectual, physical, emotional, and social maturity. A high school diploma is the first goal of every student in high school, with college or employment in-business and industry to follow. At Corinth-Holders High School, we feel that our curriculum is trying to meet the needs of every student enrolled. English is required of all students. Literature and grammar are studied for four years, and diagramming helps one to understand sentence construction. MRS. LOIS HOLIFIELD B. S., Berry College English Sophomores ' x 'X J MR. I I Mathematics help pupils adjust to many of their everyday functions more readily. They tend to be more socially and intellectually mature, more self-controlled and more appreciative of theoretical matters. They also tend to have more leadership potential. MRS. MARY VANN - B. These students are busy trying to type 40 words a minute without making any errors. I2 With the completion of the course of physical educa- tion, which is required for high school graduation, students learn of the great importance of physical hy- giene in their daily lives. They are also taught many other things that they will find helpful as they go out into life, especially those which will make them more socially efficient. Geography teaches a pupil about the world, its people, their differ- ences, and their habits. It gives pupils a better concept of the place where they live and the many privi- leges they enjoy in comparison with people in some countries. MR. RAIFORD FULGHUM A. C College Coach - Physical Ed.
