M7 Sadness creeps upon us, As the teardrops seem to start, For we come to realize, That we must depart. In our life together here, Our friendships large have growns These will be as happy years, As we have known. The twelve years we've been here, We have studied hard and yet, It has been the sweetest time, That we never shall forget. Then sometimes it seemed unfair, And we thought that we'd been wronged: But as we looked back on it, We'd have it prolonged. Somehow parting leaves with us, Many thoughts for future things. And we ponder deeply now, What fate will bring. Though this night must mean goodbye, We will treasure with a sigh, And remember it for ere, Dear Corinth High. Beverly Creech 65444, :Dum Yes, the time is drawing nigh, That we must leave dear Corinth-High. We must walk through her doors open wide And journey into a world outside. To teachers, classmates, and friends so true Who helped us when the days were blue, We now must say our sad goodby, As we leave Ole Corinth-High.
