History ln the fall of 1952, we the Senior Class of l956, began one of the most interesting and exciting steps in our lives. In that year we entered high school as green freshmen. We had as our leaders Mrs. Alfred Sinclair and Mr. Yancey Aycock. With their help and guidance we became Sophomores. The second year of high school, we had as our leaders Mrs. Stuart Murphy and Mr. Charles Carroll. With the help of these two teachers we became Juniors. Our Junior year we' had again Mrs.. Murphy and Mr. Carroll as our guides. That year proved to be a very exciting one. We found that we had a few more responsibilities. We presented a class play, A Pair of Country Kids. Then we sold magazines. Also we honored the Seniors with a banquet at Ballentine's. ln the fall of T955 we entered our final year, the one we had been awaiting so eagerly. This proved to be one of the happiest. We had as our guides Mrs. Robert Boggs and Mr. J. E. Warrick. With their wonderful guidance and leadership we published an annual, presented a play, selected and received our class rings and selected invitations and calling cards. Also we attended a Junior-Senior Banquet, sponsored a barbecue supper and fin- ally made preparations for a trip to Washington. Now as we step out into the world to make our own decision, we take with us many fond and cherished memories of our days here at Corinth- Holders High School. We hope to prove ourselves worthwhile in whatever we undertake to do. GAIL STRICKLAND Class Historian Class Poem ' Dear Corinth High, Dear Corinth High A school we'll treasure as our lives go by. As we leave this school and go on our way We trust we will be guided right each day. As we leave our teachers, classmates and principal behind To go out in life to seek the best we can find We'll never forget their guiding hands That have helped us build our future plans. We've had twelve short years since we've been in school We've gained an education by learning to do the best we could We 've had our work and we 've had our play And found our joys and sorrows every day. Let's try to be useful men and women as we really should And let our mistakes be smaller than others would Let's try to prove ourselves worthy throughout life And learn to help others as they struggle with strife. As we go out to take our places in this world As we add our footprints to the sands of time May we keep many happy memories of Dear old Corinth-Holders High School in mind. NETTIE HALES, Class Poet Class Song Tune to: Moments to Remember The days we spent at Corinth High Will always in our memory lie, We will have these moments to remember. Our teachers and the friends gained here Will always in our hearts be dear, We will have these moments to remember. Although we now are leaving, and the present disappears, The happiness that we have shared, will echo through the years. When other nights and other days May find us gone our separate ways, We will have these moments to remember. And though we leave dear Corinth High, These memories will never die, We will have these moments to remember. PAT BUNN, Class Song Writer COlOl'S Motto Flower Red and White Not on top but climbing.
