LASS PIHIPHECY As two more contestants came up to the mike to be interviewed for my radio program, I recognized them as Mr, and Mrs David Wilder, Mrs. Wilder is the former Eleanor Fowler. David and his neat little wife are the owners of Wilders Grocery, located about three miles south of Corinth-Holders. After seeing these classmates I began wondering what happened to the rest of the class. l-lere is some information I receivedi Keven l-linton is now one of the main stars on the Army football team. Although l-larrison Robert- son wanted to be on the main Army team, he didn't quite make it, he is, however, the waterboy-it takes timel Sadie Bailey and Harold Brown have taken the places of Fred Astaire and Betty l-lutton in the movie l'l.et's Dance, Faye l-locutt won the title of Skating Queen after many years of hard practice Don Bunn and James Upchurch made such good school bus drivers that they are now employed by Carolina Trailways, Pauline Carroll is designing her original creations at Jeans dress shop. The designs are modeled by Phyllis Barnes. Lunell Wilder is receptionist in the law office of Jimmy Narron. Millard l-linnant is l-lotel Clerk at the Sir Walter l-lotel in Raleigh. Ronney Godwin is teaching French at Corinth-Holders l-ligh School. l-le took a trip to France and acquired a wonderful French accent. Annettie Barham is employed at The First National Bank in Raleigh and Doris Strickland is cashier at the S 8 W Cafeteria. Estelle Narron is a stenographer with the Durham Life Insurance Co, Laura Faye Garner and Shirley Sanderford are salesladies in l-ludson-Belk's Department Store. Seley Margaret Temple is making a successful preachers wife, Garner Creech, William Keller, and Odell Creech have entered their cars in the Stock Car Race which will be held at Dillon, S. C, Charles Congleton and his wife, the former Shirley l-ligh, made top sales in the tobacco warehouse at Wendell when they sold the crop raised on their farm. Winning the title of Miss America did not change the pleasing personality of Nell Renfrow. Pat Johnson is secretary and bookkeeper at Gills Motor Company in Zebulon. Joyce Eason is owner of a new restaurant in Raleigh Magaline l-lorton is her cashier. Mamie Ruth Price and Earline Raper are doing typing work in the Revenue Building, Dorothy Nell Driver has become a well-known seamstress and is expecting to put in a Sewing Center for girls who want to learn to sew. Milton Parrish and Lannie Crocker attended college and are now doing very nicely in business. Eloise Congleton has become an efficient secretary. Bobby l-linton is now running his Daddy's store at Dixie. Jimmie Murphy and Ronald Fuller have opened a new department store in Clayton, They say business is really buzzingl l-larold l-locutt has his own grocery store in Wendell Wallace Fuller and Charles Curtis are his most important clerks. Bobby Michael has gone into business selling Jeep Stationwagons. Another member, l discovered, had gone into the car business. James Strickland is a salesman of O. Ki Hendersons Motor Company. Dorena Richardson is making a grand housewife. Thomas Johnson and Everette Crocker have suddenly become interested in science. They are try- ing to grow mushrooms in the shape of suspenders. l-learing from my classmates and their different occupations made me feel years younger and my mind was at ease once more This gave me brighter hopes for the future and new ideas for my radio program, Shirley Corbett, Prophet
