DEDICATION Mr. Mrs. John Carney have always support- ed our class. You have helped us with the junior talent show, decorating for the prom, our home- coming, and many more of our extra-curricular projects. You have contributed time, patience, guidance, energy, and caring for our class. We, the Class of 1986, would like to take this opportunity to thank you by dedicating our year- book to you. We may not have always shown our gratitude but you can be certain that we are eter- nally grateful to you. At times, we were very difficult to work with; yet the two of you cared enough to give us an- other chance. We were able to count on you to help us with each event. You taught us the mean- ing of the word dedication. In all you have shown us love. John and Louise Carney, we will always remember your kindness and selflessness. Thank you for everything. All our love. The Class of 1986 2 IN MEMORY OF Julie Robarge was an ambitious, fun loving person. She was a good student and had many friends. She made the people around her happy, and it was a tragedy that her life ended so soon. Julie, we only wish you could join us on graduation day. Friday, we were released from school early to decorate our auditorium for the prom review. Saturday, we were up early and on our way to the Canfield Casino to spruce it up for our prom. We hung balloons, streamers, and set up tables. That evening, the anticipation grew as the prom review began at six o'clock. The evening proceeded beauti- fully as we moved on to the Canfield for the time of our lives. The prom was a huge success. We would like to take this opportu- nity to thank all the people who were involved in the decorating and setting up. Without them, we would not have had such a very special prom night. The yearbook ran into many problems this year. There was a shortage of people working on the book. The peo- ple who did work found out how hard it is to meet dead- lines and lay out all of the pages. Small Town DONKEY BASKETBALL tc ■!, In Appreciation We ask ourselves why we have been so blessed with someone so understanding and so caring. Perhaps it's because we can truly appreciate you or maybe it's because someone knew we needed you so much. In each of our lives we have met people who mean so much to us. However, there is one person who has played a major role in each of our lives. Miss Karen Jones is not only our Class Advisor but also a Friend to each of us. She held our class together and helped us in every possible way. Her cheerful smile and her constant thought- fulness will be missed by all of us who had the privelege of getting to know her. She is our teacher, our class advisor, but most impor- tantly she is our friend. 83 Dear Seniors, As you approach the completion of your secondary schooling, it is an occasion for looking back with satisfaction and with pride. You are a very giving and caring class; always thinking of ways to make the lives of others more pleasant. Your decorating of the teachers' rooms in December and your remembrance of the total school staff prior to Christmas Recess are just two of the ways you show your appreciation. You do not limit yourselves. Two families lost their homes to fire and you immediately collected food, clothing, and money for them. Your Santa and elves delighted the Head Start and elementary students, bringing each one a treat. It is rare to see a total class pull together for a common goal, and yet, you do that continually. Because of your dedication, your talent show was the top fund raiser. A prom at Canfield Casino was a dream of yours and, with months of preparation, you created one of the most magical and memorable events. For two years you planned a Homecoming. Even the threat of a hurricane that week could not dampen your spirits. You succeeded in bringing together students, parents, alumni, and community members. Teenagers gained much respect as a result of your efforts. So much of what you do is out of the spotlight. I see things happen and know that you spend many hours preparing for them. There is nothing that the mind of a person cannot conceive that he cannot achieve if he is willing to pay the price. That price is time. The amount and quality of the time you give is outstanding. I remember when you were without an advisor for the first half of your freshman year. At the time I was junior class advisor and after much debate, I decided to risk advising a second class. It was one the best things I have ever done. You are a source of pride for me. I know that 1 can depend on you to follow through with responsibilities. Anyone who has worked with you has always complimented your maturity and style. You have been an inspiration to each of us. I will always remember The Class of 1986 with much admiration, respect, and love. Those who dare , do; those who dare not, do not. Thank you for daring.
