Mr. Robert Duval has influenced each and every one of us in various ways. Perhaps he was not our guidance counselor, so to speak, but nonetheless he was always there to answer a question, lend support, or offer much needed advice. Much more than a guidance counselor, Mr. Duval has been a true friend and a person the Class of 1984 has turned to time after time when in need. Thus, in future years when the Class of 1984 looks back on its years in Corinth Central we will very fondly remember Mr. Robert Duval as a steadying influence and a friend who has been there without fail. Mr. Duval, the Class of 1984 wishes you the very best in retirement!! DEDICATION The class of 1984 dedicates our yearbook to our advisor, teacher, and special friend Miss Karen Jones. This, we do, as only a small token of our admiration, respect, and gratitude for a person who has given us so much, yet asked so little in return. Indeed, she has aided us in the trials and tribulations of growing up, and shared many memorable times filled with laughter and tears. However, we feel we can honestly say so many good times were the direct result of her efforts and deep understanding of us as people first, and students second. We sincerely thank her for her persistence and caring, but most of all for her faith. She, alone, believed in us and our dreams when others did not. Consequently, it is a great, great HONOR for the Class of 1984 to dedicate this yearbook as a thank-you and a tribute to one who has given us so much . . . our dreams! Miss Jones — we shall miss you! 81 IN MEMORY OF JIGGER WATKINS We, the Class of 1984, would like to pay our respects to Jigger Watkins who left us in the fall of '83. He served as our faithful class mascot during our high school years and we shall always hold Jigger's memory close to our heart! THE SPANISH AND FRENCH WAR The Language Club sponsors many activities. One of these activities is the annual Spanish and French War. The Spanish have dominated this war for the past five years. Last year the language classes put on a program for the seventh and eighth graders. To the right is Par- is, seen through the eyes of Dick, Heidi, and Yvette. A Spanish wedding!
