SMITH Words cannot describe the sorrow that our school felt during the time of Mr. Smith's death. He was a member of the Corinth Faculty for two years as band instructor. During that time he perfected the marching, concert, and jazz bands, winning many honors at local competitions. He was a teacher as well as a friend to his students. He won the love and the respect of the students and the faculty at C.H.S. Years from now, when we look upon our high school years, the memory of Mr. Smith will be most vivid in our minds. IN MEMORIAM As, we the class of 1981 come closer to our time of graduation we start to reminisce about old times and good friends. When you are faced with the death of a close friend or classmate, it is not always easy to express your feel- ings. But. as we dedicate this memorial page to our friend Byron Davies we think back and smile upon the times he enriched our school days with a joke or a laugh. Byron was a member of the Audio-Visual Club, the jr. High and High School Chorus, and worked on many junior Class Talent shows with his brother Evan. He also worked hard at all of our class activities which helped to shape our class. Byron was one of the most friendliest and fun-loving members of the class of 1981. When he left us there was a large wound in the hearts of his friends that didn't want to heal, but time has gradually let us remember Byron with a smile instead of a tear. “Good Friends can never be forgotten, as long as there are memories to cherish. This saying holds true when we speak of Ricky' Winslow. Although Ricky left us at an early age we can look back on the times when he could make us laugh. Ricky spent three years with two of our classmates, Keith and Kevin Wells. He enjoyed working on bikes and motors. He would work for hours on end until he could get it right. We the class of 1981, share with the Wells family in dedicating this memorial page to Ricky Winslow with all our love and admiration. 37 SENIOR NAMES ADAM (BUTLER) LATIN In the Beginning” ALLEN (RODES) LATIN Of the Earth ANDREW (SHATTUCK) GREEK “Strong.
