fli fiAj JMHiOum U is. LyfcwL U is. Shotey “Lee Lyford was a person devoted to the teaching of children. She understood them, loved them, disciplined them, but above all she taught them. Lee had a great love for all of nature and imparted it to those around her. She had a quiet demeanor, never re- sorting to harshness. Underneath the quiet- ness, was a firmness of purpose, which the children recognized. She was not a stag- nant person. She was always open to new and better ways to improve her teaching. Being a very well-read person, she was a joy to converse with, as you could always glean something from her vast knowledge. The children of Corinth, her family, and her friends were enriched by having known her. May she have found the peace, she so richly deserved, and may we never forget the wealth she brought to each and every one of us. This year, the senior class sees in our heartfilled memory, Mrs. Mabel Shorey. At this time, we are proud to express our deep admiration and loving respect for her loyal years as Corinth Librarian. Mrs. Shorey has helped us make it to our senior year. Mrs. Mabel Shorey, her friend- ship and guidance, will long be remembered and missed not only by the class of 1973, but by all who knew her.
