Corinth Central riuml Corinth. Cetu |Jnrk Hlartim $mkm 2 Bi'tntathnt On the eve of our graduation the Senior Class recalls many fond memories of one who has devoted most of her life to the teaching pro- fession and the advancement of the interests of youths. The advancement of the intellect and the shaping of a well-rounded human being are not the only goals of teaching. Mrs. Jenkins has instilled in us all a deep understanding of the importance of a good education and the vast heritage of wisdom passed on to us through the centuries by our beautiful language, English. She has opened the eyes of many students to the beauty of the arts and to the deep meanings and insights of great literature. Mrs. Jenkins has also won the respect of the school by her great devotion to the concerns of young people and her dedication to all that is best in teaching. Mrs. Jenkins will always be remembered and respected by the Class of 1969 and the school. We are pleased to dedicate our yearbook to one so deserving. It seems strange that our thirteen years at C.H.S. are slowly drawing to a close. However, time passes quickly and we must now attempt to make some sort of self-appraisal regarding our academic years. We feel that, although we may not have been outstandingly hard-working, we have tried to make the best of our years here at Corinth. We cannot neglect mentioning how vastly helpful the faculty has been in guiding our progress. Also we would like to extend our extreme thanks to the individual teachers who have spent many after-school hours helping us analyze our problems (and sometimes theirs). It is with a great deal of uneasy anxiety that we look forward to our years out of school. We will surely never forget Corinth Central and all the wonder- ful people we are leaving behind. tw Mentor (£la«s Si irk 4 antes SI. - hcrtn PRESIDENT 4. BHacBimalh VICE-PRESIDENT tCrnttcX HI. LAVERY A respected member of our class was accepted at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts upon completion of his Junior year. This in itself is an achievement which has given honor to the class of 1969. Hugh was a member of the Chess Club, Drama Club, French Club and the National Senior Honor Society. Hugh reached excellence in school and in the field of music. He is an accomplished pianist and has attained outstanding recognition in this field. Hugh is also a finalist in the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. 3ln Memnriam Boys to whom was given So much of earth, so much of Heaven,” Memories remain a priceless possession. Among those memories are our many vivid pictures of two boys who contributed much to our class and country. Bruce became a man who gave his life for his country for a cause he held dear. Chris excelled in science and always accepted criticism as a tool for self-improvement. They, too, had the time to make many friends be- cause they knew the meaning of kindness and compassion. We, the Senior Class, wish to leave our yearbook in memory of these boys, Christopher Boer- ner and Bruce Colson. 41 Ill ill Uou ©lier Jfnrijot Mrs. Rivette's kindergarten class? - the red blocks? I stayed in the city of Sao Paulo, and lived with a typical Brasilian family by the name of da Silva. I was warmly accepted as a member of my new family, and was introduced to several new customs and exposed to an entirely different language. It was certainly a rewarding experience and an honor to be chosen as our school’s foreign exchange student for 1968, and I would like to thank Mr. Matino and the Student Council for making it possible. Mr. Crawley has given many years of dedicated service to Corinth Central and helped many young men and women on to college. Mr. Crawley first devoted his energies in the field of physical education as a coach for twelve years. Next he was given the position of Public Relations Co-ordinator, as a result of a grant from the International Paper Company, for four years. His final service to the school and its students has been Guidance Counselor for a total of six years. Mr. Crawley’s varied services have been deeply appreciated, and we sadly say farewell to a valued member of the school community. We hope that his retirement will bring the rewards he so well deserves. 124 125 Name First Glimpse Favorite Pastime Andrus, Theodore Fly-Man Riding motorcycle Bates, Grover Slicked-back hair Arguing with Mr. Milligan Beattie, Sandra Make-up Men Bills, Alice Dutch-boy haircut Country music Boisvert, Denise Sparkling eyes Driving Boiler, James Tiny Wrestling Bonthron, Anna Athletic Skiing Bosford, Sharon Poised Pat Bourdeau, George Hair-do Hot cars Bovee, James Big mouth Sheila Bronzene, Ronald No. 21 Donna Burnham, Jacqueline Curvaceous Flirting Butler, Anna Tall Dancing Butler, Charles Dark Lynn Butler, Charles S, Chuck Thinking Butler, Michael Slender Art's buddy Carota, Patricia Friendly Cheering Cemek, Stephen Bottomless pit!
