class history As our high school career comes to an end, and we are about to step out into the world, facing new and greater responsibilities, we look back and realize the wonderful times we have had in our school years. As Freshmen, we elected our leaders, Donald Lawrence, President, Ronald Richley, Vice- President, Barbara Krebs, Secretary, and Ronald Cole, Treasurer. The only activity of the year was our Freshman-Sophomore Round and Square Dance. A profit of 560.00 was realized. In our Sophomore year, we were joined by students from East Pembroke. Harvey Stalker was President, James Richley, Vice-President, Marcia Kohorst, Secretary, and Louis Benson, Treasurer. The only activity again was the Freshman-Sophomore Round and Square Dance from which we made a profit of S70.00. Our Junior year began with the election of Harvey Stalker, President: Jo Ann Berg, Vice- President, June Wittman, Secretary, and Donald Lawrence, Treasurer. That year our activities included a Junior Round and Square Dance which added Sl30.5O to our treasury. ln the spring, accompanied by the Seniors, we had a Junior-Senior Ball. The theme was Moonlight and Roses, and the music was furnished by Carl Dengler and his band. Seniors at lastl The time for which we had been waiting had finally arrived. The year com- menced by electing Ronald Richley, President, Harvey Stalker, Vice-President, Marcia Kohorst, Secretary, and June Wittman, Treasurer. Our first task as Seniors was the magazine campaign. Carl Hunt was the campaign manager with Ellen Klotzbach and Richard Beebe as team captains. We topped our quota, and set a new record, S3,200.00. Then came the selection of our Senior rings. In September, we held a Senior Round and Square Dance with music by Ken's Western Ram- blers. The profit from the dance was Sll0.00. The Senior Class presented a play entitled, Me and My Shadow under the direction of Mr. Carmody, our class advisor. The play was very successful, and added Sl50.00 to our treasury. With spring on its way, we are looking forward to the Junior-Senior Ball . The theme will be Club 57, and music will be furnished by Carl Dengler and his band. We are making plans for our Class Day exercises which will be held in June. Following the exercises, the class will go on a picnic to Long Point on Conesus Lake. As we, the Class of l957 leave Corfu High, and go our separate ways, we would like to wish the Class of l958, the best of luck and success in its Senior year. I0
