THEME- The family and school builds for tomorrow. Principal L. D.Wood You have been hearing in social studies class about the Big Four- a political big four. But man is a re- ligious, thinking and social animal as well. As such he has created for himself the state, the school, the church and the Family-truly the Big Four. Our society is the superstructure fashioned from the heavy timbers of the church, school and state, which in turn rest on the family as a foundation. If today, there is a lessening of respect for law in the state, a lowering of spiritual tone in the church, and a let down in character training in school, the cause will be found in family life. For the family is the foundation, and the heavy timbers of our national society-the state, church and school-must have a strong foundation or the superstructure will crumble.
