Though the Seniors had many plans and dreams for their futures, they found it hard to imagine life after high school. Never again would they peel out of the school parking lot, run down the halls of Cordell High to beat the bell, or face one of Mrs. Fleck's essay tests. CEEEKKD Seniors will never forget their memory-making school days as they walk boldly through the doors of the world. Featured on the right are typical moments at CHS. Q Kyndal protests, NO, Rodney! Q Senior girls model hats and ties for Spirit Week. Q Gum helps Kristi maintain her quiet composure. Q Finally got it all together, but I forget where I put it, Bonnie laughs. QQ Uncle Don wants YOU! No, Todd, don't use superglue, Joe warns. G I did not! Cindy's favorite line. Wake me when the bell rings, says June. Kelli insists, But it wasn't me you saw. He just saw E.T. , so Matt decides to phone home. Julie Bash , Zir- l o na When the year began, this Junior Class was little different from those that had passed before except for the fact that they had a mere 40 members to shoulder the responsibility that had previously been upheld by larger classes. Told that they would have to raise over 55,000 for a banquet and prom, each individual took on responsibilities and for the first time the class worked together as a team - a team that with the help of energetic sponsors and parents raised more than their set goal by having dinners, mum and magazine sales, dances and raffles. This hard Work paid off in more ways than one. By learning to work together, they built an enormous sense of class pride. This was evident during football homecoming when the juniors took first place in the float competition and crowned the homecoming queen. Yes, even though they were the smallest class in CHS, they soon proved to everyone that it really is quality, not that counts' Rhonda Maynard 1 ,g Tammy helps Jerry with the plumbing. .s1z'1fisRwx, Paul Lund Darla shows the drastic effects of cheerleading. Sophomores discover that school can be fun, exciting, and above all challenging. They enjoy participating in such events as homecoming queen campaigning, float competition, and serving at the Jr.- Sr. banquet. Another event, and probably the highlight of the year, is getting a driver's license. They worry themselves sick, wondering what to do if they flunk - and some do, several times.
