The Future Farmers of America, is the national organization of, by, and for boys studying vocational agriculture in public secondary schools under provisions ofthe National Vocational Educations Act. The FFA,an intra -curricular activity,has its orgin and roots in a definite part of the school curriculum -vocational agriculture. Among other things, members learn through active participation how to conduct and take part in a public meeting, to speak in public, to buy and sell co -operatively, to solve their own problems, to finance themselves, and to assume civic responsibility. The FFA is built on leadership and character develop- ment, sportsmanship, co-operation, service, thrift, scholarship, improved agriculture, Mr. Benno organized recreation, citizenship, and patriotism. The FFA exists today because of a co -operative spirit and a desire on the part of farm boys, 14 to 21 years of age, prepar- ing for farming through vocational agriculture, and to have a national organization of their own in which they may secure practical business experience. 9110 0 AFXFA cf' 1 OFFICERS L to R B Turner Pres J Brown V P T Baker Sec G Jor genson Treas T LeMay Rep J Wilcox Sent h mg- L R W Allred G Yarbrough F Rogers, P Ahumada K Clark D Jurdan R Moore, C Jarvis R 2 C Dickey R Orisio B Turner J Wilcox T LeMay J Wyatt J Martinez, D Doran, K Doran R 3 J Hansen D Bessey G Jorgensen B Wallace J Keeney R Anderson, F Chavez R Squire J Brown 46 ' ., -543 f-Us-' uh F , eo ' N-iff' JS .X 2 -: ef' f 'is A E195 L ,I d b 1 I . .: . , .5 . , . .3 . , .5 . - Y 'S ' I 'S ' ! Cart- I Band This year's marching and concert bands were outstanding in every way. Not in ten years has there been a better marching or concert band in C.U.H.S. These words of praise come from Mr. Marsee,Band Director, who will be leaving CUHS after ten years of service. Despite the fact that every football game was away, the Band and Sergeantettes traveled to almost all the games and provided outstanding halftime entertainment. They were in every way a credit to Corcoran. The marching band accepted two invitations to appear in different parts of the state. They first took part in the University of California's H. S. Band Day ceremonies and during the holidays, perfomed at the Shrine East -West game in San Francisco. This was the 12th straight time for the Senior Band in at- tendance at The Shrine game. The band climaxed the year with many other outstanding performances They are indeed a group to be proud of 5 to 'YQ 95 .ANY A1 R l J Franklin G Aust1n,E Gomez, J Mitchell R 2 C Newly M Butcher, E Miranda, L Dav1s,B Rame r1z,E Lawson C Jacob, D Hensley J Dow B Hens1ey,V Mxlicrch R 3 R Navarro E Jacob,B Davis N Streshley J Hammond, R Salazar J Leon D Walker J Shaw1,D Burrus, R Sa1azar,D White R 4 S Hutchison J Stephens D Thayer, P Marshall G Patter L W111s J Hernandez, T Shubert R Alder D Ros prim S Waldrum 60 Q W IN'-QU SENIORS R1 D Thayer B Hensley E Jacob J Hernandez R 2 F M111er R Orxsxo D Walker D Rosprrm R 1 S Hutchlson C Jacob,N Streakly S Goodnch R 2 E Jacob B Hensley J Dow D Hensley B Rame r1z, G Patter B Davxs D Walker J Leon D Burrus F Qulroz P Garcxa J Shawl R Salazar D Whrte R 3 V M111c1ch E M1randa E Lawson L Davns B Flores J Franklxn D Smxth G Woodrum S Evans C Newby R Adalr T Shubert R Navarro R Salazar J Hemandez L W111s P Marshall M Butcher D Thayer J Ste phens R-4 A D Halstead J Hammond M Walker G Austm C Ward E Gomez J Wood R Or1s1o R Squrre F Mrller 61 :. -: . , . , . ,. . -: . , . , . , . . .-: . , .. . , . . -rl. , .. , . , . ,.. - In.. , s , 9 , n , u In , a ,. n , a , u 1 - . t , . , . , . , . , . , . , . , . , . , ' 1 - 1 ' n- 1' 1 ' la ' 1 ' 1 ' xl: ' . : . . , . , . , . , . , . , . , . , . ., l . . ,MP QI 1 'fig nf 7 N 'U 2.-1 ya, , EQ A., I .Def . car..
