' Even though our basic personality is shaped in the first tive years of our lives, we continue to grow emotionally through elementary school, junior Lx high, and senior high. Our teachers will K ft f be long remembered as playing a big l part in this growth. They have con- tributed greatly to our outlook on life by shaping our personalities. The Faculty at Corcoran is encouraging by giving helpful advice and strong sup- port in our clubs and organizations. A great percentage of the teachers are willing to devote their free periods in addition to after-school time to help their students obtain a more confident attitude in their studies or personal lives. As we leave Corcoran, now is the time to use this knowledge, which we have accumulated over the years, in planning our lives. Connie Ulase- wicz and Julia Taylor help students with a variety of materials and equip- ment. If you are interested in the se- lection, care, or making of clothing, interior design, money management, meal preparation, human or child de- velopment, or marriage and parenthood, the Home Economics Program has something for you. Both male and fe- male students are encouraged to in- teract whether it be cooking a nutri- cious meal or discussing the proper approaches to the raising of a family. The comfortable atmosphere of the Home Economic Department should not be overlooked. Busily at work in her sewing class, Carrie Williams puts the finishing touches on her created garment. What is it? Could it possibly be what they call sculpture? If you took the Sculpture course offered here at T.J.C., under the supervision of Marna Bell, you would learn to appreciate this type of art. Who ever thought chicken wire could be used for design as well as for chicken coups. Clay and molding plaster are some of the other media used in this class. A. student can make things 'lcome alivei' in three dimentional form. Your imagination and skill are your only limits. If you are a creative person who doesn't like to be restricted, consider this course.
