A ggravation ln a school as large as Corcoran, a governing body of students is an important organization. Many students feel they have no say in what goes on at school, but everyone is encouraged to express an opinion. Student Government meetings were held this year during 6th period. This was a time for discussing issues that affect every- one at Corcoran. One of the early activities planned by the Student Government was a dance on October l-4, with entertainment provided by the band Masquerade.,, Although there were not as many stu- dents in attendance as had been hoped, those who were there enjoyed themselves. One of the goals of the Student Government this year has been to involve more students in the planning of activities so that the attendance at school functions would increase. The Student Government at Corcoran is not an elite group. It needs the cooperation of all of us to make it worthwhile. At a faculty picnic in the Fall, John Curtin, advisor to the Junior Class, and Bob Southworth, advisor to our Student Government, find a way to relax at Camp Brockway.
