J MES GUSIEFR Jimmy was known to his few close friends to be a sensitive, deep and amusing person. His sense of humor was very rarely depreciative of himself or others. Yet something was always bothering him . . . some deep inner wound, which not even his death has revealed to us. The real sufferers are those who miss him. His death came as a shock as the death of young people al- ways do. Even his closest friends had no idea that he would take his own life. He is gone NOT because he couldn't under- stand us, NOT because we couldn't understand him, but be- cause he saw society as blind to the needs of people and he couldn't take that. We TDNI SIMS Anyone who knew Toni Sims would agree that the song You Light Up My Life reflected her attitude and philosophy. She brought both charm and beauty to everyone who knew her. Toni's smile could light up the darkest crevice or corner. Her optimistic attitude, consciencious approach to whatever the task and her willingness to share her time and energy with everyone was a characteristic which she possessed in large quantity. Toni is gone now, but she will not be forgotten. Our foot- steps will never be the same, and our paths shall never over- lap as they once did. We will be on our own and sometimes alone. The bridge will have served it's purpose, helping, leading, and guiding. Each of us has found a path. We will never forget that bridge, a span measured not in feet, but in time. In the water below are the reflections of those who made it alive. The Water moves on, and the reflections become ripples, Wandering in all directions, then blur. People keep crossing, com- ing, leaving, and separating. But should our paths cross again, it will be a time to share the memories, the times, the tears, the smiles, the sighs, and the friends . . .
