The seven- gymnast team was clearly the smallest around, but their efforts were good enough to earn them a tie for first place in the city's league with Hennin- ger. Four Corcoran gymnasts, Barb Hertkorn, Linda Warren, Valerie Gal- vin, and Joan Meikleham qualified for the city's meet at Henninger, where they proved who was champion. Linda Warren captured first place, while Barb Hertkorn took second, and Joan Mei- kleham placed fifth. The loss of the three Seniors will defin- itely effect next year's team, but the remaining gymnasts hold promising futures. Especially under the coaching of Carol Mooney and Janet Bluem, the Girls Gymnastics team should have a flippin good time. You need a steady foot to perform on the balance beam as Joan Meikleham displays. ii 6 cy: N . ,Eg S g 1 X, i Q it .i ., f, 5 1 s H fffffiiii 4. rf f A I ix front row: Coach Carol Mooney. 2nd row: Warren, Sandy Steele, Valerie Galvin. SOMETHING NEW PRETTY GCOD TOC! This was the first year that a Girls' .T.V. Soccer program was allowed for Inter- scholastic competition in the City's League.
