S UPER S UPERS TAKS Jumping high, Chris Collins makes the point although the opponents show their skill in blocking. The Girls' Basketball team can truly be called the Super Superstars. This year they had a fantastic season winning all their league games except for one at this time of publication. Coached by Barbara Downs, the young ladies showed tremendous team cooperation and effort. Jumping high and hitting the boards with accuracy, the members worked with an optimistic attitude which was reflected in the outcome of the games. The well balanced team was spirited by cooperative play of all mem- bers. The girls played well in their 8 home games as well as showing con- sistency away. We are proud of the winning tradition that is being estab- lished by the Girls' Basketball team and would like to see it continued in future years. Spli h Splash T . J. Corcoran not only has a top notch pool facility, but it also had a dynamite Girls, Swim team this year. Undefeated until the last match against Henninger, who was also un- defeated, the girls lost the city championship by only one point. Linda Warren, a junior, did an outstanding job in the diving competitions. All the girls worked well together, reflecting many hours of conscientious practice and team cooperation. It was heartwarming to see that their hard work, strong spirit, and effort was reflected in their high levels of accomplish- ment. We are certain that Coach Russ Goley was as proud of the girls as we were. Best Wishes on a job well done! - Reflecting about the Girls' Swim team standings, Coach Ross Golly is pleased to note that the girls worked co-operatively all season.
