i. ELLISON STANLEY CONNII STATHUM Max CX Stroll SLCN Search Being a Senior means more than just being in twelfth grade It means being part of some unique events The prom with its timeless charm the gradua tion ceremonies which remain the same yet change each year are two of the biggest events in our senior year The common remembrance of these events helps to unify for the last time the senior class The prom is the major heart throb with all its ac companying traditions Will the hairdresser do a good Job? How many guys will wear the same tuxedo? Will the flowers match my formal? All these questions and more crowd in on that whirlwind evening the ninth of June. Early morning breakfasts lead into a relaxed senior picnic which signals the end of the weekend s festivities. And now most can talk with knowledge about their senior prom. The Syracuse War Memorial is the stage of the event that begins at 10:30 on June 24 1978. The rus- tle of caps and gowns is the sign that a lifelong goal has been reached. Just think it s all over in a few short hours and twelve or thirteen years of work are cashed in for a single piece of paper. But to each one of us, this paper signifies something different. To some, it is the conclusion of an educationg to others, it is just the beginning. Many have been to proms and picnics before, and many will graduate after us, but our class stands out and is unique because of the very special memories that others could never have known. Our experiences are priceless, shared by so many, and yet so few. BARBARA ST.
