,Xi Losejive in a row. . . Corbin 'S victory march is stopped cola' at the cz.z'.Z. Although they won five of their first seven games, the Redhounds could not use this record to predict their future. Their next five games were with some of the best teams in the state. There was no hope at Ashland, as the Tomcats downed Corbin 101-59. In this game Corbin was completely outclassed. The next four games were also disappointing. The Redhounds lost to Hazel Green, Clay County, London, and Boone County. In these four games Corbin would keep pace with their opponent until late in the third quarter, and then they would seem to tire. This is the way the rest of the season went. Out of their last twelve games, the Redhounds won four. The losses came from Clay County, Bell County, Middlesboro, Harlan, Lily, Whitley County, and two from Bar- bourville. Lynn Camp, Knox Central, Cawood, and Williamsburg fell to Corbin for the Redhounds Hnal regular season wins. The Knox Central game, which Corbin won 80-69, was very impres- sive. If Corbin could have played the whole year like they played the Panthers that night, then the season would have been a success. lu

Corbin lakes secondplace in 50th a'z'strict After their disappointing regular season, the Corbin Redhounds headed for Williamsburg and the 50th District Tournament. The first game proved to be not too difficult as the Redhounds beat Williamsburg 75-39. The second game with Lynn Camp saw Corbin down the Wildcats 75-61. In the tournament finals Corbin played arch rival Knox Central. Corbin had beaten the Panthers earlier in the season, but they took revenge and won the 50th District trophy by a score of 61-59. The following Wednesday the Red- hounds journeyed to Cawood to play Bell County in the 13th Re- gional Tournament. The game was simple. Bell County was hot and Corbin was cold.
