Histor Appeals To . CS S Students Teachers of the Social Studies Department try to make classes appeal- ing and interesting for their students through the use of filmstrips, guest speakers, movies and games throughout the year. There is a requirement of two full courses of History in order to graduate at the end of the senior year. One of these courses must be an American History credit. For the other credit. there is a variety of courses offered including: World Geography, World History. Contemporary History, Social Studies Seminar. Psychology, Criminology and Sociology. Ms. Leli is happy that there are only a few more minutes left of the period. Junior and Senior classes this year participated in a few special events such as a trip to a mortuary and gun range. There were also guest speakers such as Ellis Rubin and other members of the Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms Commis- sion QATFJ. There were also visits from a few members of the National Rifle Association CNRAJ. Members of these groups and others voiced their opinions pertaining to gun control and other problems of our society. 56 History
