Mrs. Claire Davis' girls were highly rated before the season even started. The girls team, which played 22 regular season games, was made up by some of our best girl athletes. Senior sluggers, Denise DeClair, Joanne Stiger, Margaret Gould and Jill Panazzo were the team's offensive force. as all maintained high batting and earned new running averages. Swimmers The swim team opened with a positive outlook shared by the entire team. On Feb. 6. team members participated in a GreenfWhite meet competing against each other. Their first sense of real competition was on February 20-ll at Boca Raton. The outstanding swimmers were Michele Mongilia, Teresa Vlha, Sue Grindle, Lisa Skillen and Denise Angus, for the girls team. For the boys team they were Rob Cunningham, Kevin Miller and Mike Bures. The captains were Michele Mogilia for the girls and Kevin Miller for the boys. The diving team had a fresh start with a new coach, Chip Buff Huntley, a l98O graduate. The outstanding divers were Scott Lindgren, Gary Degler and Chris Murray.
